Product Overview

Phaseolus vulgaris

Eureka! You have found the most tender, brightest yellow wax bean! Plants are loaded with beans for your fresh-eating or canning pleasure!

Bring the bright, garden sunshine right to your plate. Pick 'Eureka' as a young, filet bean or let mature to a beautiful, bright yellow. Plants produce heavy yields of very tender, 5"–6" beans, and yellow pods make finding the harvest a snap! Steamed, pickled, or fresh, you will love this wax bean. Disease resistant.

Variety Info

White flowers are followed by 5"–6" long, bright yellow pods filled with about 7 small, white seeds. Disease resistant to bean common mosaic virus.

Sowing Inside

Not recommended; bean seedlings are sensitive to root disturbance.

Sowing Outside

RECOMMENDED. 1 to 2 weeks after your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is at least 65°F, ideally 70°–85°F. Successive Sowings: Every 7 to 14 days up to 80 days before your average first fall frost date. NOTE: In very hot summer areas, skip sowing as high heat approaches; temperatures consistently above 90°F will prevent beans from forming.
