Landscape Design Home Visit

My husband and I wanted to enhance our front yard so we called Pikes to come out to give us an estimate and a design plan. We wanted to use as much of our existing shrubs in conjunction with some additional plantings. We worked with Chrissy Rivelli. We loved working with Chrissy. She asked us numerous questions prior to submitting our plan to us in order to come up with a design that would enhance our property and also have the plantings thrive in the direct sun. We are so happy with the way everything turned out! In addition, the subcontractor - HPC who Pikes used to execute the plan was also amazing. All the plants are thriving and we have received so many compliments on our front yard. Chrissy always followed up promptly with any questions we had. I highly recommend Chrissy and Pikes for anyone looking to update their landscaping.

We have been completely satisfied from the beginning of the process to the finish for our side and back yards! We worked with Chrissy who was a pleasure. She understood what our goals for the project were and created a design that met our needs and wants. Chrissy kept us informed of the process and schedule and was at our home the morning of the install. We are very happy with the way our new landscaping looks and will definitely use Pike Nursery again for our future projects. Overall poor experience with Pike's Landscape Design Home Visit. Scheduling the initial visit had about a 2-3 week timeframe to get on their calendar, which was ok with us. At the initial visit, our designer, B. Wells, spent (maybe) 15 minutes with me and i felt he had already pre-determined what he wanted to say/present and there was very little dialogue or proactive questions to get a sense of what we were looking for. Once his design arrived, it was a black & white hand drawn sketch with 'bubble areas' of what his recommendations were. If you are expecting a color rendition of a CAD drawing, this is not what you get for $549! That is extra! his overall recommendation was priced at $33,000 when i indicated our range was $5,000.

When I spoke to the Pike's manager about my experience, T. Jarrett, he stated he reviewed B. Wells work and confirmed what i was provided is the level/quality of work they deliver. He offered to send a new designer to my house, but said i would go back to the end of the queue and that appointment would also take 2-3 weeks to get on the schedule. I declined his offer and said i will figure out my next steps on my own.

So, I've spent $549 and don't have much to show for it. Good luck to anyone else willing to pay the $549.

Took several weeks to book an appt. One month after the appointment, still no news from the lanscaper.

The landscaper is unresponsive, doesn't respond to emails, doesn't really listen to the customer, what they want nor why.

At this point feels like we just wasted money and should have used a local service company instead.
