Essentials for Success
For thriving plants, use Incredisoil Premium Potting Soil for containers or Incredisoil Premium Planting Mix for garden beds. Pair either with Espoma Bio-Tone Starter Fertilizer to promote healthy root growth and reduce transplant stress.
Care
Planting & Growing
Provide organically rich, well-drained, acidic soil. Keep roots cool with a thick layer of mulch. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency, once established. Feed with an acid fertilizer after flowering.I bought a few 5 gallon Monrovia Camellias from Pike Nursery Lindberg and Pike Nursery Toco Hills. The plants looked significantly better and cared for, healthier and vibrant than from other growers. The folks at Pike Nursery took the time to put the 5-gallon pots in heavy trash bags, tie around trunk/stem so that dirt will not fall inside my car. They bought them to my car, placed them in my car CAREFULLY so that the plants are secured safely and my car is not dirtied. AMAZING service! Casey at Pike -Cumming and Ryan at Pike Suwanee also were so wonderfully helpful in assisting me to find the most precious NUCCIO Camellias.
