Variegated Baby Rubber Plant's attractive glossy oval leaves remain dark green in color with showy creamy white variegation and tinges of grayish green throughout the year. Neither the flowers nor the fruit are ornamentally significant. The brick red stems are very colorful and add to the overall interest of the plant.

Variegated Baby Rubber Plant will grow to be about 12 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 12 inches. Its foliage tends to remain dense right to the ground, not requiring facer plants in front. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for several years.
This plant does best in medium to bright light. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is not particular as to soil pH, but grows best in rich soils. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution. This is a selected variety of a species not originally from North America. It can be propagated by cuttings; however, as a cultivated variety, be aware that it may be subject to certain restrictions or prohibitions on propagation.
Variegated Baby Rubber Plant is a fine choice for the garden, but it is also a good selection for planting in outdoor pots and containers. It is often used as a 'filler' in the 'spiller-thriller-filler' container combination, providing a canvas of foliage against which the larger thriller plants stand out.
