NPK Ratio: 6-3-2
-
N (Nitrogen) - 6%: Nitrogen promotes vigorous growth and lush, green foliage. It is essential for the production of chlorophyll, helping trees achieve healthy, vibrant leaves.
-
P (Phosphorus) - 3%: Phosphorus is important for strong root development and flowering. It aids in energy transfer and is critical for the overall health of the tree.
-
K (Potassium) - 2%: Potassium enhances tree health by regulating water uptake and nutrient transport. It improves disease resistance and encourages overall vitality.
For Use On:
All fruit, shade, and ornamental trees, such as: Apple, Ash, Aspen, Buckeye, Catalpa, Cherry, Plum, Chestnut, Cottonwood, Cypress, Elm, Hawthorn, Filbert, Honeylocust, Locust, Maple, Pear, Poplar, Sweetgum, Sycamore, Walnut, Willow.
When to Use:
-
Spring: Feed early in the spring before growth starts.
-
Fall: Feed after leaf drop but before the ground freezes.
Note: Never apply fertilizer to frozen soil.
How Much to Use:
The amount of Tree-tone required is determined by the caliper (diameter) of the trunk. For medium and large trees, this should be measured at a point 4 feet above the ground.
How to Apply:
-
Small Trees: Sprinkle the fertilizer on the ground over an area equal to the root spread. This can be estimated as the area under and slightly beyond the branch spread.
-
Large Trees:
-
Make holes 2 to 3 inches in diameter, 2 to 3 feet apart, and 12 to 18 inches deep under the drip line (outer edges of branches) of the tree using an auger.
-
Divide Tree-tone evenly among the holes and fill the remainder of the holes with soil.
-
Water thoroughly.
